Inge Frimout-Hei gives concerts with harp and voice, featuring repertoire from Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, with the songs of the Scottish Robert Burns as particular favorites. In addition, she performs and sings pop classics, songs from films and musicals, Latin American music, and Dutch-language repertoire by artists such as Herman van Veen. She writes many of her own arrangements and also performs and sings her own original songs.
She regularly appears not only as an accompanist but also as a soloist in performances with choirs, such as the Iuventatis Choir of the Schola Cantorum–St. Jan, Project Choir Brabant, and the Kempen Choir. Benjamin Britten’s ‘A Ceremony of Carols‘ is her most frequently performed work for harp and choir.
She plays a Lyon & Healy Style 30 and a Lyon & Healy Style 100, a Camac electric harp, and various Celtic harps, including a Salvi Egan and two harps by the maker Weissgerber.
She especially enjoys taking her harps along when traveling, to compose in beautiful locations and to perform and sing outdoors.
On several occasions, she has given concerts in Italy with her daughter Kyra Frimout, who also plays the harp and sings, and with harp student Giada Masella.
Harp music and songs complement wedding ceremonies particularly well. Inge will perform at your wedding ceremony with a lot of attention and love. Some feedback from wedding couples in the past:
